Travel
A car is essential to visit this location, public transport exists and can meet some requirements but limits the chance to explore and really discover the real Italy.
The most direct route is to ANCONA (daily flights by Ryanair from Stansted) then an easy drive of about 75 minutes. However other options are:
| PESCARA | (Ryanair) | 105 minutes |
| RIMINI | (Ryanair, East Midlands) | 120 minutes |
| FORLI, BOLOGNA | (Ryanair) | 180 minutes |
| ANCONA | (Ryanair) | 75 minutes |
| PISA | (Easyjet/Ryanair) | 270 minutes ** |
| ROME CIAMPINO | (Easyjet/Ryanair) | 240 minutes ** |
| PERUGIA (new) | (Ryanair) | 140 minutes |
** While these are longer distance the drives take you through some of the most beautiful scenery in the heart of the Sibillini.
For all airports listed we can provide full, easy to follow, directions and can include (mainly for Pisa and Rome) places to stop for lunch, dinner or just refreshments. Contact us for a fact sheet.
Rome and Pisa offer the opportunity to combine a city break, before or after, the rural experience.
Recommended car hire is Auto Europe (www.auto-europe.co.uk) who offer a quality and value “agency” service obtaining the best price from household name companies.
Finally Le Marche does not have the congestion and “nerve wracking” driving experience often associated with Italy, even in the height of summer the roads are quiet.
